A quick and easy recipe for a delicious snack. Slightly crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside, perfect on its own or accompanied with a hot tea or coffee.
Ingredients:
5 over ripe bananas
1 cup plain flour
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon granulated sugar
Cooking oil
Method:
Mash the bananas
Add the salt and sugar
Fold in the flour bit by bit (depending on consistency you may want to lessen or add flour)
Taste the mixture – add sugar to taste if necessary
The consistency should be gooey
Cooking:
Add enough cooking oil for deep frying into a frying pan
You need 2 tablespoons handy – 1 to scoop the mixture, 1 to push and drop it into the pan (ball-shaped). The Malaysian way is to use your fingers to make a ball of mixture at the side of the mixing bowl and drop it into the frying pan.
Fry till golden brown.
Drain using a paper towel.
Enjoy…
